This piece was inspired by the book, The Odyssey. The flower-like objects represent Odysseus, Penelope, and their son Telemachus, and the threads between each one represent the connections between the family. Odysseus, the bigger shape, has a couple of brown threads, showing the connections he had to others on his journey, which forced him to take 20 years to get back to Ithaca.
