Acorn dyed paper, cotton thread

This paper wall hanging was made by soaking paper in acorn water and using thread to sew the papers together in a unique way. The piece is based upon an experience I had when I became chronically ill. I was too sick to do anything more than lay in bed, and I stopped texting my closest friends. Unfortunately, because I wasn't putting any effort into the friendship, two of my friends stopped talking to me altogether. Eventually one became my best friend again, but I completely lost contact with the other. In the wall hanging, I am the bottom piece of paper, my friend is the middle, and the friend that I lost contact with is the top.
